Missoula Children’s Theatre
Olympic Theatre Arts again this year sponsored the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) program in January. The program begins with auditions on a Monday and culminates with two performances the following Saturday. MCT is an international touring group that travels state to state across the U.S. and to Canada, Europe and Asia casting local children in plays. MCT uses participation in performing arts to as a way to build social and communication skills, self-discipline, a strong work ethic, an understanding of the team concept and self-esteem.
Skills Workshops
Workshops dealing with some of the basic skills necessary for theatre will be scheduled. Frustrated scene or costume designers, lighting technicians, house managers and ushers (to name a few) will be able to learn the basics so they can fulfill their ambitions and feel the rush of live theatre!
Scholarships
Childrens’ Summer Theatre Workshop: Olympic Theatre Arts plans to pursue educational grants which will enable us to establish summer workshops for younger members of our community.
