Sharon Delabarre

Sequim, WA
Board Chairman

Sharon has been active with OTA over the years in many capacities including board participation, scenic design and construction, acting and served as the initial Campaign Chairman for the move from the second story Howard Wood Theatre to the new facility.  She and her husband Del moved their consulting and conference/event planning business to Sequim 20 years ago. Her degree, from California State University, Fresno, was in Theatre Arts.  During her time at CSUF, she participated in a three month college USO tour of Stop the World I Want to Get Off as well as several college and local repertory troupe productions. At OTA she has had primary roles in several productions including Little Foxes, Lettice and Lovage, The Lemonade Stand and Inspecting Carol.


Deborah Groesbeck

Board Vice Chairman

Deborah spent thirty-four years in the fields of information technology and telecommunications, primarily in management and project management positions in the greater Houston area. Her theatre-related volunteer experience includes The Alley Theatre Guild and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Deborah'?s organizational, financial, and planning skills combined with her enthusiasm for community theatre have been a welcome addition to the OTA Board of Trustees.


Richard (Dick) Beare
Sequim, WA

Treasurer
Dick is a Geological Engineer, and spent 39 years with Mobil Oil and its affiliates. He has experience in budgeting, planning, and contracts. He became interested in community theatre when a friend asked him to oversee the remodeling of the Old Town movie theatre into a ?stage theatre?, to serve as a venue for the Huntsville, TX local theatre group, and other events.
Dick served on the Board of the ?Old Town Theatre? for several years until he, and his wife Elly, moved to Sequim in 2004. Dick also served on the Board of the Emerald Highlands Homeowner?s Association here in Sequim. Dick & Elly both enjoy live theatre, are amazed at what OTA has accomplished, and want to be involved with OTA in providing entertainment for the community.


Barbara Tyson
Sequim, WA
Board Secretary

Barbara recently moved to Sequim her husband Allan. In 2005 she retired from a 35 year career as a dental office manager.  Living in Temecula, CA after retiring she filled her days working for the Friends of the Temecula Library as well as a member of the Temecula Valley Women?s Club, serving on two committees, the Animal Friends of the Valley and Wishes For Children. After moving to Sequim, they joined the Newcomers Club and COASST.  Barbara and her husband also joined the Olympic Peninsula Explorers and the Olympic Peninsula Enological Society. She loves good food and wine and is also certified BBQ judge for the Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association. She says it is a pleasure painting scenery for OTA productions. She loves musical theater and has season tickets to both the Paramount and Fifth Ave theaters in Seattle. Her other favorite thing to do is Zumba.


Sharon Briggs
Sequim, WA

Sharon brings a broad theatre experience in acting, directing and producing to the board having worked with community theatres across the state, as well as, co-founding with her husband, Roger, Roundabout Theatre Arts, a non-profit corporation performing live theatre in various locations throughout Washington since 1994.  Sharon is a registered nurse having worked in hospitals, doctors? offices, home health care and hospice.   She and Roger moved to Sequim a year ago from the Tri-Cities after he retired from a career in public health.   While living there, they organized a play reading group in the community that met monthly in homes, libraries and other venues over 18 years, reading 100 plus plays during this time.

Hugh is an attorney in Sequim and PUD commissioner. He brings a solid financial background and legal advice to OTA.


Robert Stoltz
Sequim, WA
Facilities Committee Chairman

Robert spent 35 years with Flying Tigers/Federal Express aircraft maintenance department. He has had contract and inventory management positions and was Past President of the Employees Association. He is currently Director of the Travel Club of the Newcomers Association. 


Pat Johansen
Sequim, WA


John Yeo
Sequim, WA

John served as Board Chairman for OTA during 2008-2009. He has BA from University of Maryland and Master of Fine Arts in play directing and theater management from NYU. Hands-on experience in the founding of several board-run non-profit companies. Attracting new members, staging fund-raising events, writing grants and asking members and corporations, such as Toyota, for operating funds. Performed as an actor on Sequim and Port Angeles stages in four productions. John has extensive background with non-profit organizations which will serve the OTA board well with his experience. Also, at the end of December 2010, after three years of service, John stepped down from the board of the Sequim Senior Activity Center, and joined the board of the Sequim Community Foundation.
