Panto's It's Not About the Hood
Seeking actors of all ages
Run Dates: February 6 - 22nd
The Panto returns to OTA for its second season bringing with it laughs, fractured fairytales, audience interaction, and nonsensical fun. Join Bernie Riding Hood as she searches for the confidence to take on her family's tradition of being the protector of the realm. The cast includes characters of all ages such as an elderly Hansel and Gretel, three generations of Riding Hoods, the Wolf, and gang of Squirrels. Written and directed by Shannon Cosgrove with musical direction by Morgan Bartholick.
Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script and to come prepared with a short section of a song to sing (16 bars or 30 seconds). Only a few characters sing solo, but most will sing together in a chorus in the finale.
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
Run Dates: February 27 - March 15
Edward Albee's classic powerhouse drama will be brought to the stage directed by Kyle LeMaire. A middle aged married couple invite a younger couple for a late night of drinks that devolves quickly. Underneath the edgy banter of the evening lurks an undercurrent of tragedy and despair.
Seeking:
MARTHA (40s-60s, female presenting) George's Wife. A boisterous woman whose volatile nature hides her vulnerabilities
GEORGE (40s-60s, female presenting) Martha's Husband. Bitter and sarcastic. Tired of the "games," but can give as much as he gets.
NICK (20s-30s, male presenting) Honey's husband. His clean cut, upstanding exterior gives way during the night to indulgence.
HONEY (20s, female presenting) Nick's wife. Petite and mousy. Not quite as naive as she initially appears.
